The piece features a finely pierced (reticulated) body, imitating a woven basket, with a repeating geometric and floral openwork pattern. The scalloped rim is decorated with iron-red and gilt detailing. At the center of the interior, a delicate hand-painted floral spray in soft polychrome enamels exemplifies the aesthetic of the famille rose tradition. The basket is fitted with two applied side handles, highlighted with traces of gilding, adding both elegance and balance to the composition.
