Tapio Wirkkala (1915-85) was a Finnish designer and sculptor. Wirkkala's production includes classic art glass objects, glassware, household glassware as well as product packaging and labels. Wirkkala's production includes classic art glass objects, Alko liquor bottles and labels, plywood, silver, bronze and many other materials. Wirkkala graduated from the Central School of Arts and Crafts in 1936 and later married the renowned ceramic artist Rut Bryk.
