Mouse oracles are used by Baule diviners. A mouse is placed in the upper part of the bow with some rice. When the mouse move, the rice is displaced. Then the diviner made predicitions by "reading" the position of the rice, moved by the mouse.
Finely carved item, with beautiful dark brown and shiny patina.
Zoomorphic protection masks are carved on both sides the oracle.
A metal plate closes the bottom of the oracle - see pictures.
