Description from the seller
The Yashica AF-J2, also known as the “Ninja Star II,” is a 35mm film camera from Kyocera released in 1990. It is an improved version of the Yashica AF-J series and positions itself as a compact autofocus camera for quick everyday snapshots.
Key specifications and features
Lens: Equipped with a 32mm fixed focal length lens (f/3.5). Although rumors abound online about a Zeiss T*- lens being used, there is no corresponding marking on the camera body.
Focusing system: Uses infrared autofocus technology common at the time.
Size and design: The body is relatively large and not an ultra-thin pocket camera. It has a retro style with a red accent on the shutter button.
With your prior knowledge of camera gear, this camera may come across as more of a fun gimmick or collectible than a professional creative tool. Its operation differs noticeably from single-lens reflex cameras, making it an ideal entry point into analog photography. If you still have film, you can take a few snapshots and experience a photographic style that is clearly different from digital photography.
It is in good condition and fully functional/tested.
The lenses are free of scratches; the insides look clean.
