Description from the seller
Pair of Koi Carp Sculptures – Indonesia, 1990s
A striking pair of koi carp sculptures crafted in Indonesia during the 1990s, admired for their elegant form and refined decorative presence. These beautifully modeled pieces capture the graceful movement of the koi, a symbol of prosperity, strength, and good fortune in many Asian cultures.
Each sculpture features vivid red markings over a luminous white body, enhanced by subtle iridescent details that shimmer along the dorsal fins and across the surface. The craftsmanship is particularly evident in the finely sculpted fins, textured scales, and carefully painted features, all contributing to a sense of lifelike motion.
Both decorative and collectible, this pair makes an eye-catching addition to an interior space—ideal for display on a console, shelf, or as part of a curated collection.
