AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Original, unique piece, with certificate of authenticity issued by the artist.

Manuel Laureano Rodríguez Sánchez " MANOLETE", was a bullfighter who survived the Spanish Civil War and suffered many goring injuries throughout his life, even one that marked his face, until Islero, a bull from the Miura ranch, took his life in Linares, (1947). His style left a mark and he is considered one of the greatest masters of all time and one of the icons of bullfighting.

The term diestro refers to the professional bullfighter and montera to the traditional hat worn by bullfighters...

Personally I am not a fan of the bullfighting festival, my father was and a great admirer of this bullfighter, so, apart from the pleasure of painting such an interesting character, it is also a small tribute to his memory.

IMPORTANT: This work, for its own protection, due to its dimensions of 120x100 cm, is shipped unstretched, rolled inside a tube.
