Female nude Tormento in glazed ceramic – Le Bertetti, Turin, Italy – ca. 1940-1950
Professionally shipped – more than 850 five-star reviews worldwide.
Glazed ceramic figurine of a female nude, executed by Le Bertetti in Turin, Italy, in the post-war period. The figure is seated, with the upper body leaning back and one arm raised. The lower body is partially covered by a white fabric drape with a light pink sheen.
The glaze is evenly applied in skin-tone hues, combined with white. The underside is marked with the title Tormento, the name Le Bertetti, “Turin – Made in Italy” and a model number.
The low production number points to early production within the workshop, possibly created under the artistic direction of Clelia Bertetti
Height approx. 40 cm; in good used condition with light crazing and limited signs of wear, without cracks or restorations.
