Description from the seller
Beautiful and authentic antique wooden bellows camera on a tripod, dating from the late 19th century (approximately 1880–1900). This impressive photographic instrument is equipped with an original brass lens by J.H. Dallmeyer (London), type Rapid Aplanat, a quality lens that was widely used for portrait photography at the time.
The camera is in a nice, original condition with clear signs of use appropriate to its age. The wooden construction is solid and the mechanism (gear adjustment and rails) is still present. The bellows are intact but show wear and small repairs (see photos), which is typical for this type and age.
The set is supplied with:
Original wooden tripod
Several wooden plate cassettes
Extra parts/accessories (as shown)
Dark cloth (photographic cloth)
A particularly decorative and collectible object, ideal for enthusiasts of early photography, antique cameras, or as a characterful interior piece.
