Description from the seller
GENERAL:
The Austin-Healey Sprite Mark III, introduced in 1964 and produced until 1966, represents a significant evolution in the series of these iconic British roadsters. This version is distinguished by the introduction of externally mounted door handles with locks and crystal-side windows with a crank mechanism, abandoning the removable side screens of its predecessors. Under the hood, it carries the A-series 1098 cc engine, which in the Mark III benefited from larger main bearings, markedly improving mechanical reliability. This 1966 unit was purchased two years ago and had only one previous owner before its current owner, preserving much of its original essence.
BODYWORK AND PAINT:
The vehicle underwent a complete repainting process last year, coinciding with its acquisition, so it presents a refreshed exterior appearance. Practically all original bodywork pieces are maintained, notable for having absolutely no rust. An important detail is that this unit does not include a soft top, but instead comes equipped with the valuable extra hardtop, in addition to a tonneau cover to cover the cabin when parked.
MECHANICS:
At the time of purchase a general preventive maintenance was carried out to ensure its optimal state. During this intervention the entire exhaust system was replaced with a new one. Currently, the car runs excellently; it starts on the first try with ease and the braking system functions correctly without unusual noises or vibrations, demonstrating a well-tuned mechanical condition.
INTERIOR:
The cabin shows a high state of preservation, maintaining a classic atmosphere in line with its era. Although not certified by a specialized technical appraisal, all components and parts appear to be factory original. The trim and controls are intact, preserving the patina and style that characterize the English sports cars of the sixties.
DOCUMENTATION:
The car has all its original paperwork in order and up to date. Administrative procedures are current, facilitating a direct and hassle-free transfer of ownership.
PICK-UP:
The vehicle is available for inspection and pickup in the town of Villaviciosa de Odón, within the Community of Madrid, Spain. The car is delivered in the operating condition described, having been meticulously maintained by its current owner.
OTHER INFORMATION:
This Austin-Healey Sprite is very well cared for and presents an excellent opportunity for collectors, as it does not require any additional investment. It currently runs perfectly and is in outstanding aesthetic and mechanical condition, ready to be enjoyed from day one.

Request help with registration from a third-party service provider.Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
