Description from the seller

Bang & Olufsen Beogram 4002 – Fully Refined – MMC4000 – Polished Dust Cover – Top Condition

Offered: a stunning Bang & Olufsen Beogram 4002, fully serviced and technically in excellent condition. This iconic model, designed by Jacob Jensen, is among the most valued tangential turntables ever produced. The player has been carefully cleaned, lubricated, and checked, so it now operates smoothly and reliably as intended.
The MMC4000 cartridge currently installed is in good condition and delivers a warm, detailed presentation. The dust cover is fully polished, clear, and free from the common early cracks around the hinges – a rarity for this model. It stays in any desired position.
An exceptionally beautiful and technically sound example, ideal for both the collector and the discerning listener.

I bought this turntable about 40 years ago, as a Second Life at a B&O dealer. Since then the player has been used very little, spending most of its time in storage or as decoration.

Condition:
Fully serviced: mechanism, belt replaced, arm-transport and electronics checked
New drive wheel for the tangential mechanism installed (Danish Soundparts)
Cleaned and lubricated where needed
MMC4000 cartridge present and in good condition
Dust cover polished, clear and without cracking at the hinges and stays in any desired position
Baseboard is undamaged and untouched, with a beautiful patina
Cosmetically very neat, with minimal signs of wear
Tangential arm moves smoothly and accurately
Start/stop, cueing and speed control function perfectly
Control keys are free of the ever-present ingrained fingerprints.

Technical Specifications:
Type: Tangential turntable
Drive: Belt-driven
Tonearm: Servo-controlled linear arm
Automation: Fully automatic
Speeds: 33⅓ and 45 RPM, electronically controlled
Cartridge: B&O MMC4000
Connection: 5-pin DIN (original)
Dimensions: approx. 49 × 37 × 9 cm
Weight: approx. 12 kg

Special Points:
Fully serviced and in top technical condition, tuned to B&O factory specifications.
Includes MMC4000 cartridge (MMC6000 optional at extra cost).
Polished dust cover with no hinge cracks.
Original brush adapter and measuring instrument included. (the accessory box is for an MMC20-E, unfortunately)
Original user manual and installation manual and a full electrical schematic are included. (that is rare)

Note! See last photo.
At one point there was an attempt to remove the aluminum strip between the dust cover and the rear metal part, which caused a non-structural scratch on the left side. Replacement strips are available via Danish Soundparts, but they do not carry the original brand and model markings. I have chosen to leave it as is to preserve the original appearance.
