A large French Napoleon III period figural mantel clock in antique style, crafted from black marble and gilt metal, with an 8-day mechanical movement and half-hour bell strike, in excellent condition, measuring 67.3 cm high, 29.3 cm wide and 19.1 cm deep, weighing 5 kg and suitable as a commode or table clock.

Origin: France, 2nd half of the 19th century, Napoleon III (1848-1870) period.

Very good technical quality French 8-day power reserve, two train movement striking full- and half hours on a bell. Stamped with a very low serial number: 624 and pendulum parameters: 4/8. Clock comes with a pendulum, winding key is missing. White enamel dial with black Arabic numerals, gilt bronze star with flowers in the middle. The dial is protected by a glass in gilt bronze frame.

Conditions report: case in excellent condition, no missing parts, no damages visible. Minor use- and age related wear, natural patina. Dial in perfect condition. Movement in working order, recently overhauled by a clock-master. Check pictures for details.
