Magnificent living room coffee table acquired in 2001. It is a decorative piece of high quality, inspired by the neoclassical style (late 18th - early 19th century), perfect for an elegant and characterful interior.
Characteristics :
• Style: Neoclassical, Directoire or Empire type, with stylized 'jarret' legs.
• Materials: Wooden frame with a curved-legged base. The edge of the top panel is punched metal with a deliberately aged and patinated finish (faux wear) for a very authentic "antico" look.
• Details: Decorative frieze of palmette motifs at the center of the top, matching the style.
• Surfaces: Two smoked glass tops (upper and lower) in excellent condition.
• Period: Bought new in 2001.
• Dimensions: length 120 cm x width 80 cm x height 50 cm
• Condition: Very good overall. The signs of wear on the metal are original and intentional to give this antique look.
• Top: The edge of the upper surface is punched metal with an "anticato" finish (artificially aged in a workshop) to give the piece an authentic and old-fashioned charm.
• Ornamentation: A delicately carved central frieze of palmette motifs separates the two levels.
• Surfaces: Equipped with two original glass tops, in excellent condition, highlighting the structure while providing a second lower storage space.
• Condition: Very good condition. The wear marks on the metal are deliberate and form an integral part of the design of the piece.
This is a very beautiful artisanal piece, probably of Italian origin, that does not go unnoticed.
