The Project: This camera is part of Minox's "Classic Collection." The idea was to celebrate photography icons (such as the Leica M3) by creating functional 1:3 scale replicas.
The Film: It does not use the classic 35mm roll, but Minox 8x11mm film, the same legendary film used by the famous "spy cameras" in the Minox Riga series during the Cold War.
Operation: Unlike the digital version (where the lever is fake), in this model the advance lever truly serves to cock the shutter and advance the tiny frame.
It is fitted with an Minoctar 15mm f/5.6 fixed-focus lens. Given the small size of the negative, the lens is designed to have a large depth of field (almost everything is in focus from about 1 meter to infinity).
