Exceptional Qing Ceramics

Magnificent covered bouillon pot in porcelain from the East India Company, 18th century. It is characterized by its emblematic three-color palette: blue underglaze, iron red, and rich gold highlights.

Decor and Symbolism:

Luxuriant floral decor featuring peonies (symbol of nobility) and bamboo (symbol of longevity) in a closed garden.
Significant gold highlights remain very fresh, accentuating the details of the flowers and the lattice fence.
The edge is outlined by a complex geometric frieze in iron red.

Technical characteristics:

Model with two side handles in the shape of shells.

Very good condition. The colors are vivid and the gilding is particularly well preserved. Tiny engraving at the base.

Magnifique pot à bouillon couvert en porcelaine de la Compagnie des Indes, période XVIIIe siècle. Il présente  caractérisé par sa palette tricolore emblématique : bleu sous couverte, rouge de fer et riches rehauts d'or.

Décor et Symbolique :

Décor floral luxuriant mettant en scène des pivoines (symbole de noblesse) et des bambous (symbole de longévité) dans un jardin clos.
Importants rehauts d'or encore très frais, soulignant les détails des fleurs et de la barrière en treillis.
Le bord est souligné par une frise géométrique complexe en rouge de fer.

Caractéristiques techniques :

Modèle à deux anses latérales en forme de coquilles.

Très bel état de conservation. Les couleurs sont vives et la dorure est particulièrement bien préservée. Infime engrenure au pied.
