Description from the seller
This exceptional fossil concerns an impressive tooth of a plesiosaur, which is preserved entirely in its natural state.
The tooth is remarkably sharp and even still contains part of the root—a detail that is rare for this type of fossil and makes the piece especially valuable.
The enamel is exceptionally well preserved and shows a beautiful variation in color, from lighter to deeper hues, giving it an attractive and vivid appearance.
What makes this fossil even more unique is the surrounding matrix. Within it are, among other things, fish vertebrae and other fossil remains visible, which not only form an aesthetically pleasing whole but also provide an interesting glimpse into the original habitat.
The whole has been naturally consolidated, keeping the fossil stable without compromising its authenticity.
Teeth from a plesiosaur of this size and quality are especially scarce, making this specimen an exceptional find for serious collectors and paleontology enthusiasts.
