Plate - Metal - Street name sign

A distinctive and authentic street-name sign bearing the inscription “Johan Buziaustraat,” rendered in classic deep-blue enamel with white raised lettering. A characterful object that immediately evokes the atmosphere of the Dutch street scene from the 20th century.

Below the street name is the caption: “Ned. cabaretier 1877–1958,” referring to Johan Buziau, a well-known Dutch cabaret performer and revue artist from the first half of the 20th century. He was especially famous for his performances on the variety stage and was an important figure within Dutch entertainment culture of his time.
