Pio Serafini was born in 1951 in Ascoli Piceno; he is an architect, musician, and painter. He is so in the deepest sense, because, in addition to frequently selecting the Piceno territory as the preferred subject of his work, he is also the custodian of a painting tradition typologically from Ascoli: together with a clear influence of the finest French post-impressionist painting, from Cézanne to Chagall, Serafini’s work lies in the tradition of the illustrious Ascoli painters Dino Ferrari and Ernesto Ercolani, a starting point for an original inner reinterpretation of the element.
