Description from the seller
A veneered oak Art Deco mantel clock from Junghans with an arched clock case dating from the 1920s-1930s and in beautiful condition. The case features two protruding wood decorations on the front, and of course the characteristic crown is not missing. The white-numeraled dial is in lovely condition and stands well against the dark oak, with the dome glass door finished with a chrome ring. The movement is of very good quality and from Junghans; it has been cleaned, runs beautifully, is original and fits this clock, and where needed is lightly oiled and level-adjusted, and it features a round gong strike, heard every half-hour and full hour. It is easily silenced by turning the gong a little. The hammer is easy to adjust with the screw at the bottom. The clock keeps good time, by the way! The original quality label is still present on the back door. Connoisseurs and enthusiasts know how to estimate the value of this beautiful clock cabinet, but nevertheless I offer the clock without a minimum reserve price to give everyone the chance to own this case clock, suitable for any type of interior where it will be a striking presence. Includes a key and, when packed with great care, will be shipped only to countries within Europe.
