Description from the seller
Murano "Tutti Frutti" Art Glass Ashtray – A.V.E.M. Style – 1950s/60s
Beautiful, heavy Murano glass ashtray rendered in the iconic "Tutti Frutti" technique. This hand-blown piece is a burst of color, enriched with glittering silver foil (aventurine) embedded deeply in the glass.
The piece has an organic shape with a deep black exterior, which forms a stunning contrast with the colorful interior. The underside features a smoothly ground pontil mark, a sign of high-quality handwork.
The ashtray is in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, flakes, or scratches on the surface.
Important note about the appearance:
In the glass there are a few thin lines or "slivers" visible. These are not cracks or fractures. They are an authentic production characteristic where minuscule particles of the silver foil have been drawn toward the surface during blowing or stretched by heat. The glass surface is completely smooth and the integrity of the piece is perfect. This gives the piece its unique, artisanal character.
