Description from the seller

Realistic 42-2108 is a stereo reverb system from Radio Shack. Originally released in the 1970s.

Analog delay that uses a Bucket Brigade Device (BBD) chip.

Key features: The BBD technology provides a characteristic warm, lo-fi sound that is loved by musicians for creating psychedelic effects.

Operation: The front panel features a Delay rotary knob to adjust the echo time and pushbuttons for Reverb Expand, which acts as a feedback control for repeats.

Connections: Equipped with RCA jacks for line-level signals, intended to be placed into a amplifier's tape loop.

Microphone input: Has a 6.35 mm jack input on the front with its own volume control for karaoke or recordings.

Design: The unit has a brushed aluminum front panel with side panels.

Originally sold to give home stereo installations more spatiality.

Musicians value the unit for its unique feedback and the fact that the pitch changes when you turn the delay knob while sound is playing.

Popular item for modifications to reduce noise or expand feedback capabilities.
