Description from the seller

Set of 2 Vintage Japanese Kitchen Knives – Usuba & Santoku – Handmade character

Beautiful set of two authentic Japanese kitchen knives with a pronounced vintage look. It comprises an Usuba (vegetable knife) and a Santoku (all-purpose chef's knife), both with a total length of about 30–31 cm.

The blades carry Japanese inscriptions on the blade and handle, indicating traditional origin. The steel has developed a beautiful, lived-in patina from use, giving these knives a unique character. These are not standard factory knives, but pieces with a story.

The Usuba is ideal for fine, precise vegetable slicing, while the Santoku is a versatile all-rounder for meat, fish, and vegetables. Thanks to the thinly ground blade, they are perfect for precise cutting and can be easily resharpened to a razor edge again.

The knives are in used condition with visible signs of wear and patina (see photos). The handle of one knife shows a crack and a small blemish, which, however, does not affect functionality.

This set is ideal for lovers of Japanese cuisine, collectors, or anyone seeking knives with character and presence.
