In “Weightless Forest,” the trunks float without roots, stripped of the gravity that binds them to the ground. The landscape becomes a stage for the improbable: a forest that is not held up by the laws of physics, but by the rules of imagination.
The reference to Magritte is no accident: like him, the artist invites us to contemplate a world where the everyday becomes strange, and the impossible, evident. The trees suspended in the air compel us to rethink the concept of the organic and the stable, while the chromatic play —with electric blues, incandescent reds, and deep shadows— intensifies the dreamlike atmosphere.
This series raises essential questions: What happens when we take the weight off nature?
