For sale is a beautiful, handcrafted collector's tin from the renowned English manufacturer Halcyon Days Enamels ("Royal Warrant" or "Court Supplier"). This exquisite piece features a historically significant motif: the first manned hydrogen balloon ascent by Prof. Jacques Charles and Nicolas-Louis Robert in the Jardin des Tuileries, Paris, on 1 December 1783.

Origin:
The offered tin is an heirloom – acquired in London in the 1980s

Manufacturer: Halcyon Days (Court Supplier to the British Royal Household).
Material: Enamel on copper with decorative gold-plated finish.
Motif: Detailed hand-painted depiction of a historic balloon flight.
Special feature: Inside the lid there is an artistic inscription describing the historic event. The bottom of the tin shows the pioneers’ flags.
Marking: Official Halcyon Days logo on the underside (Bilston & Battersea Enamels Revival).
