Significant work by the painter Walter Pozzi (Bergamo, July 7, 1911 – Milan, September 30, 1989) oil on canvas in good condition.
The painting measures 60x70 cm.
The frame is original from the period.
Walter Pozzi was born in Bergamo on July 7, 1911.
In 1932 he moved to Milan with his family.
He began painting under the Bergamasque painter Giulio Vito Musitelli and, in Milan, attended the studio of the painter Ermenegildo Agazzi, who was also from Bergamo.
In 1939 he founded the Group "La Rotonda", organizing collective exhibitions in Milan and Genoa, which were joined by some of the most significant artists of the day.
In 1945, on Via Senato in Milan, he gave life to the Group of the "Gatto Nero"; the initiatives of which, for a decade, imprint the Milanese and Italian artistic life with new directions and new ways of presenting to the public culture.
He participated in the most important Italian and foreign artistic events.
The City of Milan, in 1975, dedicated to him an important retrospective at Palazzo Reale, in the Sala delle Cariatidi.
He died in Milan on September 30, 1989.

In 1932 he moved to Milan with his family.
