Bazooka is the author/illustrator of Un Regard Moderne - Série complète 6 numéros, a six-issue complete edition published by Libération in French with page volante binding, 32 pages per item, dimensions 42 × 32 cm, dating from 1978 and in varied condition, including the zero issue titled Un regard sur le Monde.
Description from the seller
Rare series from the Libération newspaper's supplement, "Un Regard Moderne", produced by the Bazooka collective!
Complete with all 5 issues published from March to July 1978 + the zero issue titled "Un regard sur le Monde" and dated January!
Olivia Clavel, Kiki Picasso, Loulou Picasso, Ti5 Dur, Lulu Larsen, Bernard Vidal and Jean Rouzaud were invited to design this journal within the newspaper at Libération's invitation, but the experiment lasted only a few months, before the collective was expelled because of their punk attitude!
If Bazooka remains a highly controversial research group due to its morbid stances, their productions remain an innovative and fascinating body of work in the still stereotyped world of comics of the late 70s. They can also be found in Métal Hurlant, Charlie Mensuel, Actuel, Surprise... as well as in their own self-published graphzines (Bulletin périodique, Bien dégagé derrière les oreilles...). Even today, they remain an essential and cult reference.
Given their age and diverse origins, the journals may be more or less yellowed with time, and sometimes folded in the middle.
Furthermore, they show the usual small, light tears, mainly along the edges; otherwise the overall condition remains good considering the fragility of the paper (see photos for defects).
Extremely rare original edition of this complete series for collectors!
