A beautiful relief-cast jug from Beech & Hancock, 1857 - 1876.

The company was located at the “Swan Bank Works” in Tunstall and the “Swan Bank Pottery” in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent.
 
They produced various earthenware products, including ‘black ware’ dinnerware, teapots, and ornamental vases.
They also registered designs for relief-cast jugs in the 1860s.

The jug has a tin lid,
At the bottom there appears to be a crack, but this is due to the firing process.

The weight is 520 grams, excluding packaging.
