Two Italian Mid‑Century wall sconces, probably from the 1950s–1960s, made of brass and aluminium, origin Italy, in good used condition and in working order, dimensions 34 cm wide, 20 cm deep and 30 cm high.
Description from the seller
These are wall sconces in the Italian Mid-Century style*, probably from the 1950s-60s. The design is typical of that period, with Sputnik and atomic age influences.
- Materials: Brass for the central body and the curved arms, with conical diffusers lacquered in green, yellow, and red. The knurled rings and the flame-shaped bulbs with frosted glass are original details of the era.
- Style: Very close to works by Stilnovo, Arredoluce or Arteluce. The colored trumpets were a hallmark of post-war Italian design: elegant but playful.
Highly sought after on the vintage market, unbranded lamps, they nevertheless remain pieces with a strong decorative impact.
