Cerwin-Vega R10 pair, manufactured in 1978, in very good physical condition; tested and functional, each speaker weighing about 21 kg and measuring 61 cm high, 33 cm wide and 30 cm deep.
Description from the seller
Authentic Cerwin-Vega R10 from the golden era of the American brand!
These classic 2-way speakers from the late 70s and early 80s are known for their high efficiency, powerful bass, and energetic and “fun” character, perfect for rock, disco or any music you want to listen to loud. Cerwin-Vega has always stood out for making speakers that “sound loud” even with moderate power amplifiers.
Technical main features:
• Configuration: 2-way bass-reflex
• Woofer: 10” (25 cm) with original Cerwin-Vega logo
• Tweeter: dome-type
• Sensitivity: ≈ 92 dB (very efficient)
• Frequency response: approx. 38 Hz – 20 kHz
• Dimensions per speaker: 61 cm (high) × 33 cm (wide) × 29.2 cm (deep)
• Approximate weight: 19-20 kg each (very solid construction!)
Visual state and details: Walnut wood cabinets with a nice visible grain finish. They show normal signs of use and age (small scuffs, time marks and some dust buildup), but are generally in good condition. The original drivers are complete and visually correct. They include the original black fabric grilles (one with a small sign of use).
On the back they feature the classic Cerwin-Vega R10 panel: adjustable treble attenuator (High Freq), protection with reset button and binding posts. Bass-reflex port on the back.
Origin: Designed and manufactured in the United States (California). Iconic model of the R series.
They are sturdy speakers and highly sought after by vintage audio enthusiasts. Ideal for light restoration (checking the woofer foams is advisable after 45+ years) or to enjoy right away that characteristic Cerwin-Vega sound: dynamic, punchy and with a lot of presence.
They are an excellent opportunity to acquire a piece of American audio history at a reasonable price. Their high sensitivity makes them compatible with valve or transistor amplifiers, and their size makes them a great complement for HiFi systems or powerful listening setups.

Shipping possible (the pair is heavy ≈ 38-40 kg, so shipping is at the buyer’s expense).
