Beautiful dinnerware set from Richard Ginori with the iconic blue floral pattern - poppies

This is a rare item to find with the Ginori brand. In fact, it is more easily found with the SCI di Laveno brand, a manufacturer then acquired by Richard Ginori, where the pattern was very popular. The difference between the services from the two manufactories is noticeable not only from the mark on the pieces but also from the tureen, which in the SCI-produced sets had a different shape.

Production plant: Laveno, during the 1960s/70s.

The pattern is very beautiful, with a bright summer blue, suitable for the sea or the countryside, but also for a refined table setting.

The service is incredibly complete and in excellent vintage condition and, apart from a few minor details I will report below, it seems to have never been used.

The set consists of 21 pieces:
6 starter/dessert plates Ø about 19 cm
6 service plates Ø about 23 cm
6 soup plates Ø about 23.5 cm (one with a small chip on the back)
1 tureen/spaghetti dish width about 30 cm from handle to handle
1 salad bowl Ø about 25 cm
1 large serving plate Ø about 26.5 cm

Conditions:
The glaze is glossy and the blue vivid. Except for the salad bowl and the large plate, which have very slight signs of use, the other pieces are mostly immaculate. Only one soup plate has a chip on the back edge.
