AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Elegant pair of glazed ceramic jugs, produced in Czechoslovakia during the 20th century, characterized by refined decorations inspired by the art of ancient Greece.
The surfaces feature mythological figurative scenes in relief:
one jug depicts a scene with a horse-drawn chariot (probably the Goddess Athena),
the other shows a Greek athlete/hero beside a prancing horse.
The speckled background in red/terracotta tones creates a striking contrast with the multicolored details and the glossy black finishes of the handle and the spout. The geometric decorative band at the base recalls motifs typical of classical ceramics.
Objects of great aesthetic impact, ideal both as decorative elements and for collectors of European artistic ceramics or pieces in neoclassical style.
The stamp confirms “Made in Czechoslovakia – Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad).
Features:
Origin: Czechoslovakia
Material: glazed ceramic
Decoration: Greek mythological scenes in relief.
Height 37 cm, thus quite large.
