Description from the seller
This is a Yashica-Mat, a classic Twin-Lens Reflex (TLR) camera that was first introduced in April 1957. The selected example is equipped with a Copal-MXV shutter, indicating a model from the early to mid-production period.
Features and Specifications
Lenses: This camera has two lenses with a focal length of 80 mm. The lower 'taking lens' (shooting lens) is usually a 4-element Yashinon or Lumaxar (Tessar-type) with a maximum aperture of f/3.5. The upper 'viewing lens' (viewfinder lens) is an f/3.2 variant for a clear image in the finder.
Shutter: The Copal-MXV shutter offers speeds from 1 second to 1/500 second, plus a 'B' (Bulb) setting for long exposures.
Serial No MT7010053
Film format: It uses 120 roll film and produces twelve square 6x6 cm frames per roll.
Mechanism: The Yashica-Mat is known for its crank advance mechanism, which advances the film and cocks the shutter at the same time.
Usage and Operation
Focusing: You look from above through the waist-level finder and focus with the knob on the side. Note: the image in the finder is horizontally mirrored.
Exposure: Because this model has no built-in light meter, you must determine exposure manually with an external meter or via the 'Sunny 16' rule. The diaphragm and shutter speed settings are visible in a small window above the viewing lens.
Accessories: The camera accepts Bay 1 (Bayonet Type I) filters and lens hoods.
The camera has not been tested.
Photos are part of the description. Will be shipped well-protected.
