Cassolette (2) - Cold painted bronze - bronze cassolettes

This object is a pair of antique cassolettes in a neoclassical style.
It is made of patinated bronze and rests on a pedestal of veined marble.
The urn is richly adorned with ram’s heads, which are characteristic of Neoclassicism and symbolize strength and sacrifice. Between the heads hang garlands of cast bronze.
