Pair of Chinese Pekin rugs "Bed Foot" ca. 1950–1960

We present an elegant pair of Chinese Pekin rugs, originally woven as bed-foot rugs. They stand out for their refined traditional Chinese floral design with stylized peonies and geometric borders over soft ivory, peach, and jade blue tones.

Woven in high-quality wool on a cotton base, these pieces feature a thick, compact, and very taut structure, and they are heavy for their size—characteristic traits of mid-20th-century Peking production. They are in excellent condition, with no stains or structural damages. Only a light cleaning is recommended to refresh the colors and enhance their appearance.

Authentic period pair, increasingly difficult to find in this format and condition.
