Ilario Pradella - Box - .800 silver

Very rare box with a body carved from a single block of wood, worked, with an ’800 silver lid and a knob in the shape of a lady in silver and bone. Manufactured by Ilario Pradella, Milanese artistic silversmith, circa 1930.
In excellent condition as shown in the photo, with a Venice retailer’s label at the base. Silver hallmark on the lid, the silversmith’s mark worn but the fascio mark clearly visible.
