Vintage prosthetic eye of French origin, dateable to the 1950s of the 20th century.
Made in a composite material with a glass-like effect, they feature an iris rendering with surprisingly realistic shading and depth, typical of prosthetic production of the era.
The lot is offered with a glass dome and a wooden base, included, which transforms the whole into a true display for a cabinet de curiosités, evoking European Wunderkammer and historical medical collections.
