Coffee grinder - Brass, Wood - Coffee grinder

A beautiful pair of two antique brass table coffee grinders, each with its own rich detailing and character from the late 19th or early 20th century.

The left grinder is the larger and more ornate of the two — an imposing specimen with turned baluster sides, bulbous feet, a floral relief on the drawer, and an elegantly profiled brass hopper with a domed lid and decorative knob on top. The crank has a wooden ball-handled knob. The brass on the drawer is somewhat faded — see photos.

The right grinder is more compact and has a sleek brass body with curved sides, a domed hopper, two small drawers of which the bottom one has a brass knob, and an oval nameplate on the front with the letters "SIU." The crank has a brass ball knob.

Both grinders are fully brass and in good vintage condition with authentic patina fitting their age. The mechanisms are present and complete.
