Description from the seller

Silver .900 from Central Europe, collector's piece, of a very particular style that was very popular at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th.

The container is mounted on the back of a figure, which is the main piece of the palillero.

The base is tripod-type with very rich decoration in Rococo/rocaille, scrolls, and musical motifs.

The technique used is repoussé and chased, which gives it that depth and detail in the silver.

This type of pieces became very fashionable in the Victorian and Edwardian eras (approx. 1880–1920).

They were used as centerpieces or decorative elements in bourgeois dining rooms.

Today, this type of piece is highly sought after by collectors of European silver.

Note: It presents counterweights on the base.

Pay special attention to the photographs as they form part of the description.

Dimensions: 17.5 cm high x 12.5 cm long x 14 cm wide.

Weight: 348 g.
