Dial and Hands
The dial is a masterclass in mid-century restraint and texture. It features a stunning vertically brushed silver finish that catches the light beautifully, presenting in exceptionally clean condition with no visible spots, stains, or moisture damage. The typography is crisp, with a serif OMEGA AUTOMATIC print beneath the applied steel Omega symbol, and a clean sans-serif Genève designation in the lower half. The applied faceted baton indices are detailed with central black inserts, perfectly matched by the original baton hands, which also feature black striping for excellent legibility. A framed date aperture sits balanced at the three o'clock position. The dial edge is marked with a precise minute track and the standard Swiss Made designation at the bottom.

Case and Crystal
The 35 mm stainless steel case features a distinct tonneau profile with hooded lugs, characteristic of early 1970s Omega design. The top surfaces retain strong, factory-correct vertical brushing, transitioning sharply into polished case flanks via well-defined chamfered edges. Honest signs of wear and light handling marks are visible, consistent with careful ownership over the decades, but the case remains thick and structurally excellent. The original signed crown is present and functions as intended. The caseback is a screw-down type, clearly engraved with the word Waterproof on the exterior, while the interior bears the Omega hallmark and the reference number 166099. The watch is fitted with a domed acrylic crystal, a classic period-correct form, which proudly displays the correct tiny Omega logo etched precisely in the center above the hand pinion.

Movement
Powering this timepiece is the Omega automatic caliber 1481, a robust and reliable movement from the brand's celebrated copper-finished era. Close inspection of the movement reveals the characteristic pink gold plating, which remains bright and well-preserved. The caliber number 1481 is clearly stamped on the mainplate, alongside the serial number 34722670, accurately dating the watch to the early 1970s. The rotor and bridges show proper factory finishing. Strap
