All automatic watches must be wound at first use by turning the crown as relying solely on wrist movement may not keep the required power reserve.

RULE FOR ALL WATCHES WITH DATE
To avoid potential damage to the movement, please do not set the date via the crown when the time is between 21:00 and 03:00. It is recommended to set the date via the crown when the time is between 03:05 and 20:55. (Some models have a screw-down crown; for settings you may need to gently unscrew the crown counterclockwise. Remember to screw the crown back securely after adjustments.)
