An exceptional opportunity for collectors: a unique candlestick from the master Milanese orfèvre Buccellati.
This piece, dating approximately to the 1950s-1960s, is crafted from Sterling Silver (.925 purity) and has undergone a meticulous, professional restoration and re-gilding (vermeil) process.
The restoration process involved deep cleaning and the electrochemical application of a high-purity gold layer (re-vermeil). This process has revitalized the object, imparting a profound golden luster identical to that of a new Buccellati piece. The restoration was specifically performed to preserve the extremely fine sculptural details of the dolphin's body.
The piece embodies the excellence of Milanese high silvercraft through its marine Rococo design. The candlestick's body is sculpted in the form of a detailed dolphin with fine scales, supporting a bobèche decorated with early acanthus leaves. The circular base is adorned with elegant shell motifs. The extraordinary attention to detail harmoniously blends classicism with Buccellati's artisanal mastery.
