Description from the seller
Elegant Crystal Cut Glass Wine Service – France, Early 1900s
Fascinating antique French Belle Époque table set, characterized by finely detailed pantograph engraving. The ornament features a weave of heart-knot garlands and zig-zag geometric borders, typical of the refined taste of the early twentieth century.
Set Composition: 2 Decanters (Bottles): with slender necks and original coordinated ogive-shaped stoppers. 9 Wine Glasses: Glasses with a classic shape and flared bowls. Details and Provenance: Origin: France. Era: Early 1900s. Material: Engraved crystal (unsigned, as was customary for many high-quality productions of the era). Condition:
The service is in generally good condition, with normal signs of aging consistent with the period and use. Specifically noted:
One glass shows a slight chip on the upper rim (as shown in the close-up photos).
Remaining pieces intact, with crystal maintaining nice clarity.
An authentic service that carries the charm of early-20th-century French salons. The presence of the pair of coordinated bottles makes it a set with a strong decorative impact for antique buffets or refined tables.
Bottle heights with stopper: 34 cm
Without stopper: 26 cm
9 glasses: Height 14.5 cm, Ø 9 cm.
