After a successful career in advertising, Willie Manders went on to become something of an artist. First, he painted landscapes (mostly in the Pyrenees) and portraits. A portrait he created was exhibited for several months at the Rijksmuseum as part of a Rembrandt exhibition. In recent years he has devoted himself to still lifes. This painting is an example of that. Acrylic on canvas 40×50 cm. Nicely framed and signed.

Na een mooie carrière in de reclame ging Willie Manders verder al vrij kunstenaar. Eerst schilderde hij landschappen (vooral in de Pyreneeën) en portretten. Een door hem vervaardigd portret is enkele maanden geëxposeerd geweest in Het Rijksmuseum in het kader van een Rembrandt tentoonstelling.
De laatste jaren is hij toegewijd bezig met stillevens. Dit schilderij is er een voorbeeld van.
Acryl op linnen 40x50cm. Mooi ingelijst en gesigneerd.
