Mercedes-Benz 220 SE, built in 1961, located in the Netherlands, with 121000 miles, manual transmission, petrol, blue exterior and 120 hp, matching numbers and colours, full service history, and no CoC or European certificate required.
Description from the seller
GENERAL:
Unique and completely rust-free Mercedes-Benz W111 220SE, from Montana (USA) where it was owned by an older collector. This is a particularly original and untouched specimen, which is nowadays rare in this segment.
BODYWORK & PAINT:
The bodywork is in exceptionally original condition and is completely rust-free. The car has a very striking and original color scheme with a blue exterior and a red interior, which creates a unique and characterful overall impression. In the past the car has been repainted once. The underbody is uncoated and in a very clean and dry condition. The chrome trim, in keeping with the age, is still in decent condition.
TECHNICAL:
Equipped with the 2.2 liter six-cylinder injection engine, paired with a manual 4-speed gearbox. The car has an odometer of about 21,000 miles and runs, shifts, and drives well. The mechanicals give a well-maintained impression and suit the car’s original character.
INTERIOR:
The interior is completely original and in a beautiful, authentic condition. The upholstery looks like genuine leather and has been well preserved. The dashboard is original and in very neat condition, featuring the original ivory-colored steering wheel and a matching radio. Both under the hood and in the trunk area the car is very well cared for.
DOCUMENTS:
The car comes with documentation, including the original booklets and the corresponding toolkit. The car also has a new Dutch license plate. This Mercedes does not require a COC document (introduced in 1996) for registration within Europe due to the age of the vehicle.
OTHER INFORMATION:
This is a 65-year-old classic in original condition. As with any car of this age, there can always be small areas for improvement. We strive to describe our vehicles as honestly and accurately as possible, but if in doubt we always advise viewing the car in person.
PICK-UP:
The car can be viewed and possibly picked up in Damwoude, Netherlands. Transport across Europe can be arranged in consultation.

Request help with registration from a third-party service provider.Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
