Antique Balance Scale with Brass Weights – P. Carl Bohm, Amsterdam
A fine and authentic antique double-pan balance scale, crafted in cast iron with elegant brass weighing plates. The scale features a maker’s plate engraved “P. Carl Bohm Amsterdam”, indicating Dutch origin.
The set includes a matching group of graduated brass weights, neatly nested and accompanied by a small holder, making it both a functional and decorative ensemble.
The scale has a pleasing industrial aesthetic, with a solid, well-balanced frame and a warm patina consistent with age and use. The brass pans show light wear and surface marks, contributing to its genuine antique character.
