Spectacular and exclusive mid-19th century French-origin glove box in Boullé Napoleon III style, crafted in fine woods of rosewood and cypress root with exquisite handmade inlays of solid bronze, gold plating and mother-of-pearl. It features the original period locking mechanism. Interior in beautiful red silk tufted lining in acceptable condition. Beveled glass from the period with no restorations. A unique collectible piece of high value.
