Description from the seller

Rectangular Napoleon III-style mirror featuring a finely carved and gilded wooden frame.

The upper pediment is adorned with a motif of foliage and rocaille, a highly elegant touch typical of the decorative taste of the Second Empire.

The solid wood frame, gilded and coppery, is formed of tendrils, acanthus leaves, scrolls, and a central openwork ornament.

At the back, 3 rings are placed to thread a cord so it can be hung on a wall.

Considering its antiquity, this mirror is in good condition; it has been renovated. however, a few stains on the glass can be seen and the parquetry is damaged (see photos); all of this is a sign of authenticity.

This mirror, through its sculptural work and the harmony of its proportions, perfectly embodies the decorative taste of the 20th century. Placed inside your classical, baroque, or bourgeois home, it will be a centerpiece and will bring a lot of light.
