AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Junghans – large wall clock – spiral gong – early 20th century

Large and decorative wall clock by the well-known German maker Junghans, dating to the early 20th century.

The clock is housed in an elegant architectural case with strong historicist influences, featuring turned columns, finials and a finely detailed carved female head ornament. The veneered wooden case presents very well and gives the clock a refined, decorative presence.

It is equipped with an original Junghans full plate movement, clearly stamped with the Junghans star mark. This type of movement is characteristic for the brand’s solid construction and reliability.

The clock strikes the hours and half hours on a spiral gong (coil gong), producing a deep and pleasant sound.

The movement has been cleaned and oiled and is in full working order.

The enamel dial with Roman numerals is in good condition and nicely framed by a brass bezel. Original hands.

Overall condition very good, with normal signs of age. The clock appears complete and original.

Dimensions:

height: 103 cm (40.5 inches)
width: 37 cm (14.6 inches)
depth: 17 cm (6.7 inches)

Key included.

The clock will be very carefully packed for safe international shipping with tracking. I have experience in transporting antique clocks.
