Description from the seller
EXCEPTIONAL Puch Royal Force (1980) – FULL SHIMANO DURA-ACE BLACK – 9.8 KG
We have the privilege of presenting one of the flagship examples of Austrian cycling engineering from the 1980s: the Puch Royal Force. A true collector's piece, this model embodies the brand Puch's golden age, renowned for its manufacturing rigor and competition successes.
History and prestige:
The Royal Force was not just a road bike, but the top of Puch's premium range. At a time when the brand equipped professional teams, this model stood out for its use of Reynolds 531 tubing, the absolute reference for combining lightness, rigidity, and comfort. This specific frame, with finely crafted lugs and a light metallized gray finish, testifies to a rare artisanal know-how.
Components and technical specifics:
What makes this exemplar particularly desirable for an auction is its complete Shimano Dura-Ace “black edition” group (7100/7200 series). Very rare in this condition, the black anodized finish adds a bold elegance and a striking contrast with the gray frame.
frame: Reynolds 531 steel (butted tubes, forks & stays).
size: seat tube 59 cm (center-to-top), top tube 58 cm (center-to-center).
overall gearing: 2x5 speeds, rear derailleur Shimano Dura-Ace Crane (the pinnacle of precision).
braking: Shimano Dura-Ace black calipers and levers.
crankset: Shimano Dura-Ace black with original chain guard.
wheels: Shimano Dura-Ace black hubs mounted on Fiamme Ergal rims (ultra-light).
aheadset/controls: SR Forged stem and “World Champion” engraved handlebar.
saddle: Original Selle San Marco Corsaire 313 in excellent condition.
details: serial number engraved under the bottom bracket (9195422).
Condition:
This bicycle has benefited from exceptional conservation. It has been fully checked and prepared. The frame shows no structural damage, and the mechanical components operate with the precision expected from a Dura-Ace group. It is a machine ready to ride for vintage events like the Eroica, or to be displayed in a private collection.
Shipping and logistics:
The bike will be packed with the utmost care in a bike-specific carton.
Important note: the €300 shipping fee indicated is an estimate. If the actual shipping cost turns out to be lower than the amount paid, we commit to refund the difference to the buyer after shipment.
Don’t miss this opportunity to acquire an icon of European cycling, symbol of vintage performance and elegance.
