Description from the seller

Title
Antique tin tapkan with burner – Tiel, Holland – ca. 1920–1950 – complete

Description
A special and decorative tin tapkan (mini-samovar) with its matching burner, made in the Netherlands (Tiel) in the first half of the 20th century.

This elegant kettle is equipped with a tap and was originally used to keep coffee, tea, or liqueur warm and to serve. The accompanying burner (spirit lamp) with wick is still present, making the set complete.

The bottom bears a round factory stamp with the markings:
“GIFTVRIJ – TIEL – HOLLAND” and model number “1464”.

The piece sits on a decorative openwork foot and features a classic design with refined details, including the curved legs and the decorative tap.

Provenance & dating
Netherlands (Tiel), circa 1920–1950

Material
Tin (pewter, lead-free)

Dimensions
Total height (including burner): approx. 38–39 cm
Width (max): approx. 21 cm
Diameter of the body: approx. 12 cm

Condition
In good, used condition with normal signs of wear appropriate for its age:

- light wear and patina
- oxidation/usage marks on the burner
- small damage to the lid knob

Otherwise structurally intact and stable. See photos for a good impression of the condition.

Special features
Complete specimen with original burner, which makes this type of object increasingly hard to find. Very suitable as a decorative piece in a classic or vintage-style interior.
