Wall sconce - Gilt bronze, Patinated bronze

Beautiful wall sconce or wall lamp, 10 lights, made around the mid-19th century. Structure in gilded and patinated bronze, handcrafted. Each arm of the single light channels onto a bronze plate mounted inside a diamond-shaped bronze frame, repoussé and hand-engraved, a typical French technique of the Louis Philippe period. Curved arms with acanthus leaves at the ends. Candle holder and wax catchers repoussé and chased.
